The Kantishna Roadhouse was a wonderful experience. Had a guide to myself for the hikes. Saw 2 bears and a moose. I could hike as far and as hard as I wanted. The accommodations were comfortable; food was great. All the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure your needs were met.

Had so much fun at the lodge, staff were fantastic, daily activities were great. Loved the food and great welcoming feeling you get from the everyone there. Can't wait to go back for another trip!

Our visit to the Kantishna Roadhouse is one we will always remember. It has been on my bucket list for over 20 years. We were very fortunate to take advantage of the flights in and out, and a more intimate time with less visitors and getting know eveyone there on a closer basis. Everything was outstanding and the staff was beyond great. Right from the time we arrived, everyone was outside waving and welcoming us. The presentations on photography from Kenneth and medicinal/edible plants with Adam were very informative. Because of the smaller visitor size, we were able to go on a custom tour with Adam in search of edible plants. This was something that Debby absolutely loved, as she is a huge native plant fan here in Florida. Our daughter Erin went on the Friday Ridge hike with just herself and Owen. It was a very personalized experience. They were even the ones to report a bear in the area while Debby and I were out gold-panning. At the end, Adam took us to the airport, and everyone was again outside waving us goodbye. As we got to the top of the drive, we could see Owen was still out there by himself still waving! The guides were fantastic. They knew the trails, could identify landmarks, plants, birds. Offered hikes were at varying degrees of difficulty and, on top of that, the guides adjusted the hikes to our interests and ability level. So a knee injury didn’t keep me from hiking and enjoying it. The meals were delicious. The cabins were very comfortable. Erica, Kate, Michael, Kenneth, Adam, Tanner, Owen - you made our dream vacation fantastic!

Did not meet my expectations, particularly considering the very high cost. Staff were absolutely wonderful, particularly Michael who tended bar and served the meals. Hiking was very limited, restricted to nearby trails and same 2 hikes were offered both days. We had heard that Kantishna Roadhouse provided personal attention, but was not observed. The airplane rides were marvelous and made up for a lot of the shortcomings. I would not go to Kantishna Roadhouse again and could not recommend to others at the existing price point.
