The flight into Kantishna was truly a highlight of our trip. Getting to see Denali and glaciers from the air was phenomenal. The guides and staff were very personal, friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed learning about the flora and fauna as well as the mountains. Kayaking and paddle boarding on Wonder Lake with Denali looming above was remarkable. Meeting and dining with the other travelers was lots of fun. Why is this not a 5 star review? The accommodations are rustic as expected. Our room was very cold on arrival and took hours at warm up. (Could have been pre-warmed). Weather stripping around the door is needed. The lobby was warm and cozy, with inadequate seating for our size of group. Drinks were not refurbished often. More attention to detail would have helped. The food was fine, not exceptional. I would have enjoyed more Alaskan fare. I understand It is challenging to bring in all the supplies needed there. It would have been nice to have the daily weather updated in the lobby. Knowing the hiking options ahead of time would have been helpful. They were limited in terms of variety for shorter (2-3 mile hikes). The e-bikes needed lots of maintenance at the end of the season. Overall this was a good experience. I’m glad we did it. Being 20-30 miles from Denali was truly amazing. I am grateful we could venture this deep into the park and experience it in this way.

We had a fantastic time with excellent guides, delicious and abundant food, and beautiful accommodations. Such a relaxing place and worth the cost. Everything was top notch!

We had a great time. Getting back to the end of the park with no crowds and the flight seeing trip out there made this a wonderful experience.

This was just an unbelievably enjoyable trip. The environment, staff and amenities were just top notch. The staff especially went out of their way to make our trip as great as it was. From the guides to the bartender everyone was extremely pleasant and knowledgable. I can't recommend the Kantisha Roadhouse enough.
